Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You generally place a wager (a dollar is the normal amt.) to try to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like these are extremely appealing, they are also incredibly difficult to win. You would need to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, think about this- you play 20 hands and lay the side bet each time. That is $20 you could have used towards the real game bet instead of a sucker wager. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with more favorable odds employing that twenty dollars.
  • Individual number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the complete house advantage from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a whopping five% in American. The individual number wager has only a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets instead which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you play it, the casino advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that is not a error. Because of the huge amount of numbers you must pick, it isn’t advisable to wager on Keno very much. A few times for enjoyment, maybe. But do not spend all your cash on it or you will immediately discover yourself broke.
