Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part Two

[ English ]
  • Progressive side wagers: Games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually place a wager ($1 is the usual amount) to attempt to win a side jackpot that can be upwards of $25,000. Although big jackpots like this are very tempting, they are also very hard to succeed. You would need to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager 20 hands and make the side wager each time. That’s 20 dollars you could have used towards the real game bet instead of a sucker bet. Picture what you could have been able to win at a bet with better odds employing that twenty dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just one. This shifts the complete casino advantage from twopercent with one zero wheel to a whopping 5.26percent in American. The individual number wager has only a one in 38 chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much lower casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you wager on it, the house edge can be a huge 25%. Yes, that was not a error. Due to the large amount of numbers you have to select, it is not recommended to play Keno very much. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you will immediately discover yourself broke.
